My name is Corinne, I am a 25 year old Washington native. I have lived in the state of Washington my entire life. I love this state and all it has to offer.

Over the past few years I have found myself working in public service. I have worked with the National Park Service and the U.S. Forest Service. This has ultimately led me to accepting a position in northern Alaska for the summer of 2017. The position is an Interpretive and Backcountry Park Ranger. I will be living in a small bush village called Bettles for the summer and will have an opportunity not many have experienced. I created this blog so I could share stories, pictures, and experiences with you.

I enjoy hiking, backpacking, yoga, trail running, travelling, and cross-stitching in my free time. I also enjoy binge watching Netflix.. but that’s not really a hobby.. or is it?

Disclaimer – I just wanted to mention that at this point everything I write about on this blog is me doing my best. I have no expertise in living and working in Alaska, preparing backcountry food, or traveling. By the end of this summer, hopefully I will be able to supply advice based on my experiences. Thanks for reading!
